Together We Will Make A Difference

In the spirit of civic service, I greet you on behalf of the South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of our efforts.  Be assured that the members of the SC Legislative Black Caucus do not take our responsibilities as Legislators lightly.  We remain steadfast in our fight for better education, quality healthcare, increased jobs, fair housing, and environmental justice.  We are dedicated to our constant quest to be treated with dignity and respect. Inequality is still present in South Carolina, and racism remains at the root of many of these problems. However, we in South Carolina need never lose focus of our responsibility as a people to “get our house in order.”

As members of the Caucus, we continue to work to that end. The 2015-2017 Caucus consists of thirty-nine (39) members of the South Carolina General Assembly (11 in the Senate and 28 in the House). We are still faced with a disadvantaged population of all ages, religions and races. The men and women of the Caucus continue to utilize all available resources in their efforts to improve the quality of life for all South Carolinians.

Thank you,

Rep. Carl L. Anderson, Chairman
